Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Store Manager on Duty to lead daily operations in our Virginia store and deliver a WOW customer experience. You will supervise crew, manage opening/closing, cash handling, and safety protocols, while coaching associates on standards and product knowledge.

You will contribute to sales growth by optimizing merchandising, staffing, and customer service, with a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings. Equal opportunity employer; accommodations available.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; college experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to multi-task and stay composed under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Wows customers through personal contact and ensures fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversees daily store activities and supports staff to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and stocking; ensures items are merchandised quickly.
• Acts as Manager on Duty, overseeing operations, staff, and urgent issues.
• Manages opening/closing procedures, cash handling, doors, alarms, and daily setup.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and procedures.
• Drives sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising and staff performance.
• Collaborates with store leadership on merchandising and process improvements.
• Performs routine store maintenance and housekeeping as required.
