Job summary

Five Below is seeking a store leader to wow the customer and supervise a team of associates as the Manager on Duty. This hourly position drives daily operations, delivers fast, friendly service, and models the Five Below Way in every interaction.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, cash handling, onboarding and training, merchandising, ensuring safety and housekeeping, and partnering with the leadership team to boost sales.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and stay composed under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure crew members wow the customer through personal contact.
• Train crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience; ensure fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates and ensure excellent customer service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking of new stock for quick floor placement.
• Act as Manager on Duty, overseeing store operations, staff management, and urgent issues.
• Open/close the store, secure cash, lock doors, set alarms, and ensure smooth daily operation.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses through merchandising and staff performance.
• Partner with the store leadership team on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance including cleaning and stock room upkeep.
