Job summary

United Dairy Farmers is seeking a First Assistant Manager to lead Guest Services during shifts, delivering the Hi Five experience and maintaining store conditions. This role supports the Store Manager and ensures safe, compliant operation, including alcohol and tobacco transactions.

Responsibilities include supervising associates, handling store administration, ensuring excellent customer service, operating POS and gas console, stocking, security, maintenance, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Must be legally qualified under applicable state laws to conduct all sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco sales.
• Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English well enough to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment and read price books.

Responsibilities

• Managing other Associates: coaching, assigning duties, training Shift Leaders and Guest Services Associates and counseling of staff as needed.
• Store Administration: ordering, delivery reports review, product transfers and paperwork per Store Manager or District Supervisor.
• Provide the signature Hi Five Guest Experience, greet Guests warmly and ensure the store is ready for customers.
• DipSide Guest Services: prepare shakes, sundaes, cones and other DipSide items.
• Operate Point of Sale System and Gas Console accurately, handle all forms of payment and cash.
• Stock merchandise and maintain clean, organized shelves and display areas.
• Maintain store security, cash control, and adherence to Tobacco/Alcohol Management programs.
• Maintenance: keep store and parking lot clean and safe; monitor equipment temperatures.
• Reporting: complete time records and Customer First Document accurately.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
