Qualifications

• Two-to-four year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum of two-year experience in the food and beverage industry.
• Requires basic knowledge of restaurant operations.
• Possess excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
• Ability to delegate, manage manpower and establish priorities consistent with department/hotel objectives.
• Listen effectively.
• Communicate to both guests and fellow associates, professionally and positively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the shift's operations in the restaurant and liaise with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Supervise restaurant associates: interview, hire, schedule, train, develop, coach and counsel, and participate in performance reviews.
• Create, recommend and implement promotions, displays, buffet presentations to attract more guests and increase market share.
• Maintain sanitation standards, supervise maintenance of restaurant equipment, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Respond to guest needs, issues and complaints to ensure quality experience and future sales prospects.
• Update cash management system and generate reports to aid restaurant administration.
• May serve as manager on duty and perform other duties as assigned.
