Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. in New York is seeking a Customer Experience Specialist who is motivated, detail oriented, and committed to outstanding service. You’ll wear many hats—from styling to processing merchandise and supporting in-store events.

You’ll welcome customers, understand needs, assist with services such as Online Order Pickup, Alterations, Styling, Returns, Gift Wrapping, and support inventory and clean, organized back-of-house processes.

Qualifications

• Ownership and initiative in daily tasks.
• Ability to identify customer opportunities and resolve issues.
• Adaptability to new initiatives and services in-store.
• Experience in fast-paced environments with multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers by storytelling and engaging diverse audiences.
• Understand customer needs and connect to services (Online Order Pickup, Alterations, Styling, Returns, Gift Wrapping).
• Communicate professionally via phone and email; provide feedback on trend and style.
• Support inventory and back-of-house organization and cleanliness.
• Assist with event execution and RSVP tracking; act as door greeter when needed.
• Open/close the store on some shifts and follow security procedures.
• Perform light cleaning duties including sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and restroom maintenance.
