Job summary

Nordstrom in Santa Monica is seeking a Customer Experience Specialist who is motivated, detail oriented, and passionate about delivering outstanding service. You will wear many hats—from greeting customers and guiding them to services such as Online Order Pickup, Alterations, Styling, Returns, and Gift Wrapping—to supporting store operations.

Qualifications

• A high level of ownership, accountability and initiative.
• Ability to identify opportunities that benefit the customer and build solutions that meet the customers’ expectations.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new initiatives, concepts, and services within the store.
• Proven success in working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task.
• A basic understanding of technology tools and computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Booking Bug, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers by storytelling and engaging with diverse audiences.
• Connect customers to services such as Online Order Pickup, Alterations, Styling, Returns, Gift Wrapping, etc.
• Communicate professionally via phone and email and provide feedback on trends.
• Support back-of-house processes including inventory management and store organization.
• Assist with event execution, RSVPs, tracking customer contact information and door greeter.
• Open/close the building on some shifts following security procedures.
• Light cleaning duties: sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and restroom maintenance.
