Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Raleigh-Durham/RTP in Durham, NC is hiring for full-time and part-time Front Desk Associates to be the guest’s first contact and manage all accommodation aspects. Hours are 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm; weekday and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience working as a hotel front desk agent.
• Competent computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
• Experience with Lightspeed, FOSSE or PEP is a plus.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Friendly, customer-service oriented; good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at check-in with a smile and warm welcome, complete registration, confirm details and assign room.
• Greet guests at check-out with a smile, reconcile charges, and print folio.
• Demonstrate knowledge of hotel information and local area; answer questions.
• Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and loyalty programs.
• Answer phones promptly with a professional greeting.
• Respond to guest inquiries, resolve issues, and escalate to a manager if needed.
• Complete start- and end-of-shift tasks and reports.
• Inform customers about payment methods and verify credit card data.
