Job summary

Extended Stay America is seeking a Guest Services Representative to support guest check-in/check-out, answer phones, and collect payments while upholding safety and security procedures. The role includes maintaining a clean front desk area and assisting with breakfast setup and upkeep of common areas.

You will process reservations, manage guest information, and strive to convert inquiries into reservations. Some cross-training in housekeeping and laundry may be required.

Qualifications

• Understand and communicate in English proficiently to interact with guests, associates and outside vendors.
• Proficient operation of the property management system technology and ability to audit shift reports.
• Understand and comply with safety, operating, and maintenance documents.
• Complete routine reports and correspondence.
• Perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
• Apply good judgment at all times.
• Manage problems and resolve guest-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests, answer phones, check guests in and out, and collect payment per guidelines.
• Maintain front desk area, lobby, and guest common areas in compliance with standards.
• Process reservations, registrations, payments, and departures.
• Handle cash, credit cards, and city ledger accounts.
• Provide accommodations for guest requests when possible and practical.
