Job summary

Highgate Hotels in New York City is seeking a Guest Service Agent to provide attentive, courteous service at the front desk during check-in, stay, and checkout, while supporting room revenue and guest satisfaction. You will greet guests, operate the front desk systems, answer inquiries about services and local information, and coordinate with other hotel teams to ensure a smooth guest experience.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, computer experience, and strong communication skills;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• College coursework in related field is helpful.
• Computer experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests at the Front Desk in line with Highgate Hotel standards.
• Answer guest inquiries about services, facilities and hours of operation promptly.
• Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail and messages to guests and meeting rooms.
• Be familiar with rate-quoting scenarios and in-house promotions.
• Balance and prepare paperwork for closing of shift and maintain a clean work area.
• Handle check-ins/checkouts in a friendly, efficient manner.
