Job summary

Extended Stay America, located in Itasca (Chicago area), is hiring a Guest Services Representative to assist guests, handle phones, check-ins/outs, and process payments according to company guidelines. The role includes daily front desk paperwork, safety compliance, and maintaining a welcoming guest experience across common areas.

The position emphasizes resolving guest issues via ESA Make it Right, handling reservations, and maintaining accurate cash and accounts while promoting the ESA value

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests.
• Assists and responds to guest requests with diligent follow-through.
• Resolve guest issues through the Make it Right process while upholding ESA service standards.
• Process reservations, registration, payment, and departures per company guidelines.
• Maintain all cash, credit card and city ledger accounts for the property.
• Set up, maintain, and takedown of breakfast display in a timely manner.
• Keep front desk, lobby, and guest areas organized and clean to ESA standards.
• Sell ESA value to inquiries and convert them into reservations and occupied rooms.
• Collect guest information per guidelines and identify potential sales leads.
• Conduct periodic property tours to ensure brand standards are met.
• Provide reasonable accommodations for guest requests when possible.
• Comply with all company policies including safety and security reporting.
