Job summary

Ascent Hospitality seeks a Front Desk Agent to warmly greet guests, assist with check-in/check-out, and provide information on hotel services. You will upsell to maximize occupancy and revenue while handling payments and verifying guest details.

The role requires strong English communication, the ability to work flexible shifts, and teamwork with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction at our Birmingham property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills in English.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and handle multiple tasks.
• Previous hotel front desk or customer-service training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm welcome and provide information on hotel amenities.
• Assist guests with check-in/check-out and upsell where appropriate.
• Handle payments, verify IDs, and balance cash drawer per procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of room availability, rates, and bookings.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Respond promptly to guest complaints and escalate when needed.
