Job summary

Ascent Hospitality in Montgomery seeks a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, manage check-in/check-out, and deliver outstanding service. You will upsell rooms and amenities, handle payments, balance cash, and provide accurate information about rates, availability, and local tips.

Strong communication, teamwork and the ability to work flexible shifts are essential. Previous hospitality experience is preferred, with a focus on guest satisfaction and brand standards.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Some college experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English and communicate with guests and team members.
• Must be familiar with a computer and type using a keyboard.
• Familiarity with office equipment such as copier, printer, facsimile, telephone, etc.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly, sincere welcome and maintain eye contact.
• Assist guests with check-in/check-out and room assignment.
• Upsell rooms and amenities to generate revenue.
• Handle payments, process transactions and balance cash bank.
• Provide information about hotel, rooms, rates, and local amenities.
• Respond to guest complaints professionally and escalate when needed.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for check-in.
