Job summary

Valor Hospitality is seeking a front desk agent to welcome guests, check them in and out, and provide information on local attractions. You will quote room rates, upsell when appropriate, and ensure accurate registration and folio handling.

The role requires basic computer and cash handling skills, a friendly, service-oriented demeanor, and the ability to stand for long periods. No relocation assistance specified.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 3–12 months of guest relations experience with this or other organizations.
• Excellent computer and cash handling skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Sociable, outgoing, guest-service oriented demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Handle guest registration and check-in/out, provide quotes and upsell when possible.
• Verify registration cards against the computer system for accuracy.
• Pre-register and manage reservations per rate structures and sell strategies.
• Balance cash and charges on guest folios at shift start/end.
• Resolve guest complaints and assist with inquiries about services and local attractions.
• Answer and direct phone inquiries; coordinate with Housekeeping on room status.
