Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners, LLC is seeking a friendly Front Desk Agent to check guests in and out, assist with reservations, and greet visitors with a warm, professional demeanor.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong computer and cash handling skills, and the ability to stand for extended periods while helping guests with directions, local attractions, and inquiries. We operate 25 properties in the US with growth plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Three to twelve months of employment in a related guest relation position with this company or other organizations.
• Excellent computer and cash handling skills; ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Handle guest registration, room assignments, provide quotes for room rates and up-sell the guest, accommodate special requests and collect payment.
• Verify registration cards against computer to ensure accuracy of name, payment method, rate, and market segment.
• Pre-register, block reservations and take same day reservations and, when necessary, future reservations following hotel rate structures and sell strategies.
• Manage guest check-ins/check-outs in accordance with hotel credit/cash handling policies; verify charges and credits on folios.
• Ensure all cash and cash equivalents are balanced at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Resolve guest complaints; assist guests with inquiries about hotel services, events, directions, and local attractions.
• Function as a liaison between Front Desk and Housekeeping to coordinate rooms.
