Job summary

HMP Properties, LLC seeks a friendly Guest Service Agent to represent the hotel and assist guests from arrival to departure. You will register guests, assign rooms, handle payments, and accommodate special requests while coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance to keep room status accurate.

You should be sales-minded, comfortable with upselling rooms and hotel services, and proficient with standard office software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and 3+ years hotel operations experience preferred.
• Excellent reading/writing and speaking English skills.
• Strong front desk, cash handling, and credit procedures knowledge.
• Proficiency with standard hotel software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Registers guests and assigns rooms, accommodating special requests.
• Assists in pre-registration and blocking rooms for reservations.
• Adheres to credit, check-cashing, and cash-handling policies.
• Knows room status, locations, rates, and uses suggestive selling to promote services.
• Coordinates room status updates with housekeeping and maintenance as needed.
• Posts and files charges to guest accounts and manages safe deposit boxes.
