Job summary

Target is seeking a Guest Advocate to help guests find what they need and resolve issues, delivering a welcoming shopping experience. You will greet customers, guide them through order pickup, Drive Up, and online ordering with a friendly, helpful approach.

You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy teamwork, and be flexible with hours including nights and weekends to support guest service and store goals.

Qualifications

• Communicating effectively, including using positive language and attentive to guests needs.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members.
• Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks.
• Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments.
• Greet guests in ways that are friendly and engaging at 10ft and 4ft.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Promote and explain current promos and services, including the Target App features.
• Explain benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-in as needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.
• Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering and assist enrollment.
• Handle returns or exchanges and escalate as needed following policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during open hours.
• Follow safety policies and report hazards; participate in a compliance culture.
• Support guest services like OPU, Drive-Up, and DU Returns as required.
• Perform other duties based on business needs.
