Job summary

United Dairy Farmers is seeking a Shift Leader to ensure top-notch Guest Service and smooth store operations. The role supports the Store Manager and oversees team members during the shift, with responsibilities across checkout, dip-side prep, and safety procedures.

The position requires strong English communication, reliable cash handling, and the ability to work a full-time schedule across 1st–3rd shifts. UDF emphasizes a friendly, efficient guest experience and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English well enough to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment, including POS terminal, gas console, and price book.
• Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment and to operate all store equipment.
• Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies located in the dip cabinets.
• Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps, recognize denominations.
• Ability to count and perform arithmetic to complete required records.
• Ability to move merchandise to shelves and displays.
• Ability to tolerate temperatures from –30°F to +33°F for required durations.
• Ability to lift at least 10 pounds and handle a package into a dip cabinet.

Responsibilities

• Provide the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience and greet Guests warmly.
• Prepare DipSide items and related ice-cream products.
• Operate POS system and gas console and handle transactions.
• Stock shelves, freezers, dip cabinet, and ensure displays are presentable.
• Maintain security and monitor for shoplifting; manage cash drops.
• Maintain store and parking lot cleanliness and equipment temperatures.
• Complete time records and the Customer First Document accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
