Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking friendly, guest-focused servers to take orders, run food, and manage payments with precision. You will uphold high standards of service and safety while delivering a memorable guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong knowledge of beverages, upsell effectively, maintain a clean workstation, and provide accurate information to guests.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Food safety certification may be required in some states, including a food handlers card.

Responsibilities

• Taking guests’ orders.
• the task of running food.
• Handling cash & other forms of payment.
• Making proficient sales transactions using a POS system.
• Properly checks I.D.s for guests who appear under 30.
• Demonstrating responsible alcohol service.
• Demonstrating product knowledge.
• Suggestive selling using proven techniques.
• Answering questions accurately and politely.
• Satisfying any/all needs of the guests with follow-up.
• Maintaining a clean & organized station including pre-bussing and table maintenance.
• Performing opening, closing & side duties including setup/teardown and replenishing condiments.
• Knowing table/station numbers and directing guests to areas/restrooms.
• Creating memorable experiences and entertaining guests to create 'Raving Fans'.
