Job summary

Mohegan Sun in the United States is seeking a friendly, guest-focused server for our restaurant outlets and hotel dining operations. You will take orders, enter them into the POS, and coordinate table service following established steps of service.

You will upsell, handle payments, assist with room-service deliveries, maintain cleanliness, support event setups, and perform opening/closing duties in a fast-paced environment. This role requires excellent communication and beverage knowledge.

Qualifications

• Previous guest service experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of restaurant operations and service steps.
• Good understanding of beverages, spirits, beer, wine, and glassware.
• Ability to handle trays and work in a fast-paced dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Takes guest orders and enters them into the POS system.
• Actively up-sells products and uses endorsements.
• Coordinates all food and beverage service at the table per steps and standards.
• Handles payments accurately per tendering procedures.
• Delivers food and beverage to guest rooms when needed; removes trays from rooms and hotel tower.
• Completes side work and maintains shift responsibilities.
• Assists in maintaining outlet cleanliness and arranging tables for events.
• Performs opening and closing duties.
