Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Server in Chicago to understand menu items, educate members and guests on allergies, and provide an elevated service experience while following Soho House standards. You will enter orders into the POS, collaborate with BOH/FOH, and assist with pre/post-service duties to ensure guest satisfaction.

The role requires a minimum of two years in a similar capacity, thrives in fast-paced environments, and a hospitable, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments and solves problems calmly under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable and passionate about customer service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with coworkers and management and complete checklists.
• Elevate dining experience through food and drink pairings and discuss specials to drive sales.
• Maintain communication with Management and Executive Chef on allergies or red flags.
• Complete all checkout reports and have them signed by management.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and company procedures and local laws.
• Ensure orders are plated and served correctly to members/guests.
• Assist runners and bussers with expo and service bar tickets.
• Keep server alley and bar area clean and stocked, polish silverware/glassware.
• Know the menu and be able to make recommendations to members/guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
