Job summary

Soho House & Co in Chicago is seeking a Food Runner to join our founding team. You will assist servers, explain menu items, and help kitchen and service staff deliver polished, high‑quality dining experiences for members and guests.

In a fast‑paced environment you’ll refill, reset tables, and support the team during service, ensuring accuracy in plating and timely delivery while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years' experience in similar capacity.
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
• Able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Following Steps of Service as set by Soho House & Co, including refilling water, clearing dishes, and replenishing table supplies.
• Accommodate guest requests or advise management on options to better suit business needs.
• Thrive in high-volume service, support servers, and ensure timely, seamless service for members and guests.
• Ensure food orders are plated and served correctly to members/guests.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and company standards and local regulations.
• Work as one team to serve food and drinks promptly and assist with expo/service bar tasks as needed.
• Clean and stock server alley and expo areas.
• Know the menu and make suggestions to members/guests.
