Job summary

HHM Hotels in San Diego is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead daily housekeeping operations and uphold brand standards for guest rooms, public areas, and safety. You will recruit, train and schedule associates while monitoring performance to ensure service excellence.

You will manage inventory, budgets, and reporting, participate in sustainability practices, and ensure compliance with safety and audit standards. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year previous housekeeping supervisor experience required.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates to meet brand standards and HHM values.
• Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficiency and policy adherence.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and grounds for cleanliness, appearance and safety.
• Answer inquiries on hotel policies and services and resolve guest complaints.
• Prepare schedules based on occupancy and assign duties to associates.
• Take inventory and submit periodic inventory orders for timely supplies.
• Prepare required paperwork pertaining to departmental functions.
• Be aware of and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement.
• Comply with HHM internal audit standards for key control and risk management.
• Maintain departmental expenses in line with the General Manager's budget.
• Ensure compliance with specific brand standards.
• Follow sustainability guidelines related to EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits; follow MSDS and OSHA standards; wear protective safety equipment.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
