Job summary

Lodging Dynamics San Diego is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support daily hotel housekeeping operations and lead a diverse team to deliver top-notch guest experiences. You will assist in staffing, inspections, and coordinating with Front Office to ensure readiness and brand standards are met.

In this role, you will train and coach staff, monitor productivity, manage schedules, and help control costs while maintaining high cleanliness and service levels in a fast-paced hotel

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping leadership or supervisory experience in a hotel environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspections, and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily housekeeping operations, including room assignments, inspections, productivity, and service recovery.
• Support the Director of Housekeeping in leading, training, coaching, and developing housekeeping team members.
• Conduct guest room and public area inspections to ensure cleanliness standards meet or exceed brand expectations.
• Monitor room readiness, prioritize VIP arrivals, and communicate effectively with Front Office and other departments.
• Ensure proper completion of housekeeping checklists, daily reports, and operational documentation.
• Assist with scheduling, attendance tracking, payroll review, and labor management.
• Maintain inventory levels for linen, supplies, and housekeeping equipment while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
• Address guest concerns related to housekeeping services with professionalism and urgency.
• Support quality assurance inspections, brand audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
