Job summary

IHOP in Midwest City, OK is hiring a host to greet guests on arrival and seat them promptly to ensure a smooth dining experience. Responsibilities include maintaining seating flow, handling phone calls and To Go orders, keeping restrooms clean, and upholding IHOP uniform standards.

No prior experience required; training provided. This is an on-site, full-time role in a fast-paced breakfast-diner environment.

Qualifications

No prior experience or training required.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, and communicate in English.
Must be able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks; lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Greet guests as they enter the restaurant within 30 seconds and seat them when a table is available.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with IHOP guests and employees.
Rotate station seating to ensure the quality of guest service.
May handle guest complaints, inquire about the dining experience, thank guests, and invite them to return.
Answer the telephone, take messages, and complete To Go orders.
Maintain a waiting list as necessary.
Check restrooms hourly for cleanliness.
Clear, clean and reset tables and chairs after guests depart.
Perform all cleaning duties according to posted cleaning charts.
Comply with IHOP uniform and appearance standards per IHOP SOP guidelines.
Perform other assignments or tasks as assigned by the General Manager, Assistant Manager, or acting supervisor.
