Job summary

IHOP seeks a friendly host to greet and seat guests promptly, cheerfully, and courteously, ensuring the quality of the dining experience for every guest.

Responsibilities include greeting within 30 seconds, seating when available, rotating seating to maintain service quality, handling guest feedback, answering phones, taking and completing To-Go orders, and keeping areas clean and stocked as directed by management.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or training required.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos in English.
• Ability to communicate with guests and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests within 30 seconds and seat them when a table is ready.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with IHOP guests and employees.
• Answer phones, take messages, and manage To-Go orders.
• Maintain a waiting list as necessary.
• Check restrooms hourly to ensure proper stock levels and cleanliness.
• Clear, clean and reset tables and chairs, booths, and floors after guests leave.
• Follow IHOP uniform and appearance standards.
• Perform other assignments or tasks as assigned by the General Manager, Assistant Manager, or acting supervisor.
