Job summary

Mohegan Sun is seeking a courteous Host/Hostess to welcome guests, seat guests, and present menus in accordance with department policies. You will coordinate guest seating, monitor table status, and assist guests with information and directions.

Responsibilities include answering phones, maintaining an orderly host area, and supporting supervisors with opening/closing duties and special events as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous guest service experience.
• Must be able to read, write and determine wait times based on procedures.
• Must be able to visually scan the restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate guest seating and station rotation.
• Monitor tables for cleanliness and occupancy.
• Quote accurate wait times or manage lines when tables are not available.
• Answer phones and assist guests; take messages as needed.
• Answer questions about restaurant concepts, menus, and directions.
• Interact with exiting guests to solicit feedback.
