Job summary

Azul Hospitality is seeking a front-of-house team member to warmly welcome guests, escort them to tables, and present menus. You will interact with servers and kitchen staff to help ensure a smooth dining experience in a fast-paced hotel environment.

The role emphasizes guest relations, accuracy, and teamwork; prior food service is preferred. Training and a professional appearance are required, with opportunities for growth within Azul Hospitality's properties.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have excellent customer relations skills.
• Must be detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Must possess basic computational ability.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy and collect accurate information to resolve conflicts.
• Knowledgeable about basic function of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS.
• Self-driven and able to work independently.
• Exceptionally strong in issue resolution and proven analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintains consistent attention to the Restaurant entrance and welcomes all guests with a smile and appropriate greeting.
• Assists guests, escorts to tables, presents the menu to them.
• Communicates with the wait staff and other restaurant personnel to ensure the guests' experience meets company standards.
• Refills beverages, setting tables, and cleaning eating/serving areas.
• Performs other duties in a team effort during downtime which may include rolling silverware, expediting food orders, preparing food for the To-go areas, and properly cleaning and filling table condiments (salt & pepper, sugar, napkins, ketchup and mustard bottles).
• Performs all other responsibilities as directed by management.
• All other duties assigned by managers and supervisors.
