Job summary

Sonesta Cambridge is hiring a hospitality host to courteously greet guests, escort to tables, and maintain a welcoming dining room. You will manage reservations, assist in seating, and ensure service standards are met in a fast-paced hotel dining setting.

The role requires strong guest relations, clear communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with restaurant staff. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Greet and acknowledge all arriving guests, however busy.
• Answer restaurant telephone courteously and efficiently.
• Take record and confirm restaurant reservations/cancellations as specified in departmental standards.
• Escort guests to tables and assist in seating at tables; present menus and extend congenialities in accordance with department guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and escort to tables, assisting in seating.
• Take reservations and maintain reservation book.
• Maintain knowledge of daily activities, house count, extension numbers, hours, and menu.
• Prepare station chart and assign stations to staff following procedures.
• Set up a station with supplies and maintain cleanliness.
• Inspect tables and stations to meet standards and report deficiencies.
• Ensure tables are cleaned and reset according to standards.
• Document information in restaurant logbook and relay messages as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
