Job summary

Won’t Stop Hospitality is seeking a Host to warmly welcome guests, manage seating, and maintain flow during peak periods. This role requires a professional, guest-centered approach and the ability to communicate clearly with the service team.

You will greet guests, manage the waitlist and reservations, and assist with bussing and cleaning to ensure a smooth dining experience for all patrons. Strong teamwork and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of food handling, sanitation, and prep procedures.
• Ability to read, write and speak fluently in the primary language of the property location.
• Ability to apply common sense, define problems, collect data and notify management when necessary.
• Must perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Strong integrity, reliability, and openness to feedback.
• Professional demeanor and guest-centered mindset.

Responsibilities

• Promptly make eye contact, smile, and greet each guest as they enter the restaurant.
• Warmly welcome guests and determine the most efficient way to accommodate their dining experience.
• Maintain flow and rotation of seating to ensure smooth service and balanced sections.
• Practice keen organizational acumen and communicate seating needs effectively to service and management teams.
• Answer phone calls, manage reservations, and respond to guest inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
• Maintain an accurate waitlist, quoting realistic wait times and providing updates as needed.
• Assist service staff with bussing, cleaning, and resetting tables to maximize seating efficiency.
• Observe guest body language and dining patterns to proactively communicate needs to service staff.
• Complete each dining experience with a warm farewell and sincere invitation for a return visit.
• Maintain composure and a welcoming demeanor during peak service hours.
• Other duties as assigned.
