Job summary

GOLD'S GYM - South Central in Austin, TX is seeking a Front Desk Team Member. You will warmly greet members and guests, check people in, assist with member requests, and direct guests to trainers or staff as needed.

You’ll manage front desk operations, answer calls, handle memberships, and assist with retail and class registrations. The role emphasizes friendly service, security, and accurate record-keeping at a busy gym location.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct members, guests and staff as they enter the gym
• Provide security and control to the front door and retail area
• Check members in using proper procedures
• Assist with member requests and inquiries about gym operations
• Direct guests to the appropriate personal trainer when needed
• Answer calls professionally and relay messages to management
• Maintain a neat front desk area and wear proper uniform with nametag
• Assist with membership sales and sign-ups for new members
• Handle member account changes (payments, freezes, cancellations)
• Assist with receiving orders and checking in retail/concession products
• Register and check-in for classes via the app
• Attend staff meetings and follow safety guidelines
• Perform light cleaning and other duties as directed by management
