Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, handle check-ins/outs, manage bookings, and provide local insights to ensure a friction-free stay. You will acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members, process transactions, record guest preferences, and act as a trusted contact for guests while upholding safety and brand standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree bonus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in local language; additional languages a plus.
• Tech literacy including basic math and computers.
• Flexibility for night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Experience in front desk or guest service for at least 1 year.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and start their memorable experience.
• Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests.
• Manage bookings and upsell services.
• Handle cash and card transactions.
• Check guests in and out; issue keys; manage safes.
• Record guest preferences and respond to requests.
• Be a trusted guest contact and escalate issues as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required gear.
• Maintain brand appearance as a hotel ambassador.
• Know the daily events and assist with ad-hoc duties.
