Job summary

RAM Hotels in Auburn, AL is seeking a friendly Front Desk Clerk to warmly welcome guests, check-in/out, and deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced hotel environment.

You will handle reservations, assist guests with requests, maintain lobby presentation, and coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure a smooth guest experience. Strong communication and multitasking are essential; prior hospitality exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High-school graduate or equivalent and one year of work-related experience.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Data Entry, Database Management experience.
• Telephone Etiquette experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Concierge to guests (may include making restaurant reservations, providing directions, etc.).
• Review guest reservation status and present options to guests; use suggestive selling techniques.
• Assist with registration, assign rooms, generate room cards, and handle special requests.
• Verify payment methods and adhere to credit and cash-handling policies.
• Input guest information in the PMS system; keep front desk clean and presentable; support pass-on logs daily.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to update room status and notify for early/late check-ins.
• Attend departmental meetings and adapt to shifting business demands; report unusual occurrences to management.
• Perform other tasks to meet or exceed guest satisfaction.
