Job summary

Michaels in Laurel, MD is hiring for a Store Associate to help customers, operate the checkout, and keep the floor stocked and well merchandised. You will assist with BOPIS/SFS, enroll shoppers in rewards, and uphold SOPs while delivering friendly service.

Responsibilities include locating products, processing transactions to standards, stocking, unloading trucks, and maintaining an inviting store environment. The role requires standing for long periods and flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Knowledge of rewards programs and checkout procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout and handle cash to standards.
• Enroll customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card.
• Educate customers on VOC surveys and participate in Omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS).
• Assist with truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Maintain stock and store recovery; manage returns and backstock as needed.
• Support shrink and safety programs; follow SOPs and company policies.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.
