Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes - Woodmore-Glenarden is seeking a Shift Leader to work alongside the Bakery Manager, driving guest experience, cake production, and brand presentation in a welcoming bakery.

You will help with hiring, training, scheduling, and basic reporting while upholding NbC standards and health safety. A strong lead with 1–3 years in retail or food service is preferred; high school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
• 1–3 years of guest-facing experience in a retail, restaurant or food service environment in a lead role with progressive managerial responsibilities.
• Proven ability to coach others, drive guest experience, and achieve productivity goals.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; comfortable learning new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes the guest experience and fosters a positive work environment.
• Partners with the Bakery Manager in leading guest experience, cake production, brand and merchandising.
• Supports recruitment, training, and coaching of team members; directs daily work responsibilities.
• Ensures standards of product, service, environment and safety are upheld.
• Executes operational and administrative tasks, schedules, payroll processing, and reporting.
• Co-manages special-order fulfillment via web and email for both individual and corporate orders.
• Contributes to opening/closing bakery operations including cash handling.
• Participates in local community marketing events to reinforce the brand.
