Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Hartford South/Glastonbury is seeking a Guest Service Agent to greet, register and service guests in a friendly and courteous manner, in line with the hotel brand and sustainability standards. You will handle check-ins and check-outs, establish payment methods, make and confirm reservations, balance accounts, and respond to guest requests promptly.

The role may require standing for extended periods and assisting with breakfast or luggage during peak times.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience or equivalent training required.
• Knowledge of PMS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with their needs promptly.
• Register and assign guests to hotel rooms.
• Establish methods of payment and verify credit.
• Make and confirm reservations.
• Compute bills, collect payments, and make change.
• Transmit and receive messages using the PMS system.
• Respond to guest requests in a timely manner.
• Receive and resolve guest complaints, elevating to supervisor if necessary.
• Secure guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe-deposit boxes.
• Balance accounts and conduct audits.
• Raise guest satisfaction scores through attentive service.
• Follow safety standards and wear required PPE as applicable.
• Assist in breakfast area or luggage during peak periods.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
