Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Buford, GA is seeking a friendly Guest Service Agent to provide attentive service during check-in, stay, and checkout while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. You will greet guests, answer inquiries, and operate the Front Desk system with professionalism.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, some college coursework, and customer-service experience. Computer skills and flexibility with long hours are required to deliver consistent guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• College coursework in related field helpful.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer experience required.
• Customer services experience preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must communicate effectively with guests and employees.
• Keep a warm, friendly demeanor at all times.
• Multitask and prioritize departmental functions.
• Attend required meetings/trainings.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests at the Front Desk.
• Maintain PBX console operation and hotel standards.
• Answer inquiries about services, facilities, hours.
• Handle logging and delivery of packages, mail and messages.
• Review Front Office log and Trace File daily.
• Provide information on restaurants, transportation, and entertainment.
• Follow cash handling and credit policies.
• Be aware of rates, packages, and promotions.
• Know in-house groups and restricted dates.
• Assist with room reservations and rate quoting.
