Job summary

UDF is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead frontline associates, oversee daily store operations, and ensure a premier Guest experience. The role involves supervising shifts, coaching staff, and maintaining accurate cash handling and POS operations to support a busy store environment.

The position requires a commitment to safety, compliance with regulations, and delivering the Hi Five Guest Experience during every shift. Full-time schedule with potential multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English well enough to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to operate store equipment, including POS terminal and gas console.
• Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps, and make change.
• Ability to supervise and coach associates and conduct interviews as needed.
• Ability to follow safety, tobacco and alcohol sales procedures and comply with laws.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach shift staff, including assigning duties and conducting interviews.
• Handle store administration tasks such as ordering, weekly delivery reports, and paperwork.
• Provide the Hi Five Guest Experience and greet Guests warmly to ensure satisfaction.
• Prepare DipSide items (shakes, sundaes, ice cream) and maintain product quality.
• Operate POS and gas console accurately, including cash handling and transactions.
• Restock shelves, maintain clean displays, and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Monitor store security and regulate cash drops per policy.
• Ensure store cleanliness, equipment temperatures, and safety compliance.
