Job summary

Spring-Hill-Suite in Norfolk, VA, seeks a Front Desk Agent to greet guests, handle check-ins/check-outs and promote hotel services. You will work with a friendly team to ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for all guests.

The role requires a high level of guest service, strong communication, and basic math for handling payments. Prior front desk or hospitality experience is preferred; weekend and holiday availability is common.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Ability to type and perform basic math and writing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Register guests into the hotel promptly and courteously using up selling techniques to maximize room rates.
• Process guest payments according to established policies and procedures.
• Promote hotel services, facilities and local attractions to guests.
• Respond to guest requests promptly to increase satisfaction.
• Resolve guest complaints to the customer's satisfaction and inform supervisor of major issues.
• Assist with reservations and check-in/check-out, including group and VIP arrivals.
