Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is hiring a Part-time Front Office Agent for the Houston Grand Hotel – River Oaks. You will assist guests with arrivals and departures, inputting and retrieving information, and processing payments while providing a warm, professional experience.

The role requires strong customer service skills, ability to use a computer system, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced hotel environment. On-site placement in Houston, TX with meal provided during shifts.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Calculator skills for moderately complex calculations.
• Strong verbal and written communication required to interact with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to input information accurately using a computer system.
• Good mobility to move around the front office and hotel areas.
• Ability to relate well with customers and handle difficult situations with diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a friendly and sincere welcome.
• Complete registration with accurate guest information and room rate.
• Promote HEI Hotels and Resorts programs.
• Code electronic keys and provide welcome folders.
• Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization; handle payments.
• Answer phones promptly and input messages into the system.
• Close accounts at checkout and ensure guest satisfaction; resolve issues.
• Handle guest complaints and research solutions with discretion.
• Remain calm during emergencies and busy periods; follow procedures.
