Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Strong calculator skills for moderate calculations.
• Ability to effectively deal with customers with patience and diplomacy.
• Ability to stand and move throughout front office.
• Ability to input information accurately using a front desk computer system.
• Ability to observe and respond to emergency situations.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with guests and colleagues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; adapt style to audience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly, sincere welcome and provide information on hours and local attractions.
• Complete the registration process and input guest details, rates, and room assignments.
• Verify and imprint credit cards, handle transactions, and post charges to guest accounts.
• Answer phones promptly and relay messages and requests to guests.
• Close guest accounts at checkout and address dissatisfaction or price issues.
• Handle guest complaints and research solutions to ensure satisfaction.
• Remain calm during busy periods or emergencies and take appropriate action.
• Follow attendance rules and be available to work as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
