Job summary

Shamin Hotels seeks a Guest Service Agent to check guests in and out, assist with reservations, answer questions, and offer local activity recommendations.

You will verify guest information, assign rooms, issue keys, handle payments, and support front desk operations with warm, hospitality-focused service.

This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail, with opportunities to upsell services and ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proven front desk experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and maintain quality when busy.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
• Issue room keys and provide escort instructions as appropriate.
• Date-stamp, sort, and rack incoming mail and messages.
• Transmit and receive messages via telephone, fax, and switchboard.
• Answer inquiries about hotel services, registrations, and local attractions.
• Keep records of room availability and guest accounts.
• Compute bills, collect payments, and make change.
• May make, confirm, or cancel reservations.
• Post charges to guest accounts for room, meals, or calls.
• Arrange restaurant, transportation, or entertainment bookings for guests.
• Deposit guests' valuables in safe or safes as directed.
• Enforce hotel credit policies and procedures.
• Handle cash and make deposits per policy.
• Coordinate with other front office and hotel departments.
• Report to work on time in uniform per policy.
• Follow all company policies and duties.
• Greet guests warmly and cross-sell Shamin Hotels.
• Perform other related duties as required.
