Job summary

FirstService Residential seeks a Security Associate in Florida to welcome residents and guests, register visitors, and safeguard the property. You will operate electronic security systems, maintain logs, and respond swiftly to emergencies.

Role requires strong customer service, communication, and flexibility to work shifts; reading security handbooks and attending staff meetings are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• College-level courses in business or hospitality preferred.
• Valid Florida Security License D.
• Strong customer service background.
• 2–3 years of business experience in a similar position preferred.
• Proficient in information system hardware/software.
• Fluency in multiple languages desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes residents and guests, registers visitors, and maintains safety.
• Operates Electronic Security Control Systems and Emergency Response Systems.
• Responds promptly to emergencies and incidents.
• Monitors and controls access to the building.
• Maintains daily logs, records, and forms.
• Keeps the property safe and secure at all times.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
• Reads and understands security handbooks and SOPs.
• Attends Security/Front Desk staff meetings.
• May be assigned other duties by the on-site Community Association Manager.
