Job summary

OpenGov is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer in Chicago to drive AI‑native revenue workflows across SDR, AE, and CSM segments. You will own in‑house systems, design signal‑to‑action workflows, and partner with RevOps and sales leadership to maximize pipeline and renewal outcomes.

You will build with Claude‑based tools, integrate with Salesforce and Outreach, and establish strong human oversight to ensure safe, effective automation. This role blends technical build with GTM strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
4–7 years of technical product management, sales/revenue operations, data science, GTM strategy or operations, solutions architecture, or a closely adjacent function.
Demonstrated experience using AI tools in a professional context and actively using tools like Claude or related platforms.
Production experience building and operating agents, including tool use, context engineering, and evaluation frameworks.
Past experience/exposure to GTM and Sales at a SaaS company.
Strong problem‑solving and first‑principles thinking.
Ability to bridge technical and business stakeholders and translate requirements into engineering specs.

Responsibilities

Own the AI‑native signal‑to‑action layer for Sales and build SDR sequences, AE actions, and CSM renewal actions.
Design and own revenue‑system workflows for AE and CSM, not just top‑of‑funnel activity.
Serve as product owner for in‑house systems and define the roadmap with sales leadership.
Define human oversight: approval gates and escalation paths for agents before reaching prospects.
Build evaluation frameworks and regression checks to prove agent quality and impact.
Instrument production agent activity and report on pipeline and revenue outcomes to leadership.
Map seller workflows and translate findings into actionable AI‑driven plans.
Do GTM engineering connecting Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, and data signals.
