Job summary

OpenGov Inc. seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer within the Applied AI team to design and build AI-driven workflows across SDR, AE, and CSM roles, turning revenue signals into action with signal-to-sequence automation.

You will own the lifecycle from problem discovery to solution adoption, partner with RevOps and leadership, and ensure governance with human-in-the-loop approvals for responsible deployment. This role focuses on AI-native automation, pipeline impact, and collaboration with sales

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, CS, business analytics, data analytics, or related field.
• 4–7 years in technical product management, sales/revenue ops, data science, GTM strategy or related roles.
• Proven use of AI tools like Claude, Cursor, or Codex in professional context.
• Production experience building and operating agents and turnkey workflows.
• Experience with GTM and sales in a SaaS company.
• Strong problem-solving and first-principles thinking.
• Strong user research and discovery skills.
• Ability to bridge technical and business stakeholders.
• Code-first approach to enterprise sales systems.
• Strong analytical skills; SQL proficiency.
• Self-starter with high initiative.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI-native signal-to-action layer for Sales and develop SDR sequences and AE/CSM actions.
• Develop AE and CSM workflows, including deal-risk and renewal signals.
• Serve as product owner for in-house systems and roadmap.
• Define human oversight: approvals, escalation paths, ownership boundaries.
• Build evaluation frameworks and ensure agent quality and impact.
• Monitor production agent activity and tie to pipeline outcomes.
• Map and redesign seller workflows with AI-native lens.
• Do GTM engineering connecting Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, and signal sources.
• Collaborate with AI platform/data engineers and sales leadership.
• Drive adoption and change management for built tools.
• Maintain living AI initiative roadmap and report on impact.
