Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks an experienced mechanical Design Engineer to develop test tooling, GSE, and fixtures for New Glenn. You will create 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs, and manage configuration across campaigns.

Candidates should have a bachelor's in engineering, 5–8 years' CAD experience (Creo), Windchill, and experience with high-pressure/temperature fixtures for aerospace or launch vehicles. U.S. citizenship or eligible status required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor?s degree in engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience developing models/assemblies and drawings.
• Experience designing vibration fixtures and fixtures for high pressures and wide temperature ranges.
• Experience with GSE, fixtures, tooling and/or structures in aerospace/launch contexts.
• Proficient in Creo Parametric/ProE and Windchill or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, create and modify 3D models and drawings of test equipment, fixtures, GSE, tooling, and facilities.
• Create and modify test configuration assemblies and develop associated BOMs and drawings.
• Create/split conceptual structural models into components, joints, and assemblies.
• Incorporate drafting standards and notes based on standards.
• Lead and coordinate validation of complex assemblies across stakeholders.
• Support test engineers in planning and load applications from a fixturing perspective.
