Job summary
Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide direct rehab in speech therapy for residents in our skilled nursing facilities. You will work with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to develop and implement care plans that improve communication and quality of life.
The role requires an MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, and ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility. New grads are welcome; CPR is required.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP).
- ASHA certified (CCCs) OR eligible for 9 month CFY to earn ASHA CCCs and/or meeting credentialing criteria.
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State with active license.
- One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
- CPR certification upon hire or during orientation.
Responsibilities
- Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, functional goals.
- Oversee and evaluate care for CFYs (SLP CCC only).
- Follow treatment plans for CFY patients under direction of supervising SLP.
- Chart appropriately and timely.
- Utilize therapy software.
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
- Communicate and work on an interdisciplinary team.
