Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients upon physician referral. The role operates under Life Care standards and applicable laws, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care in a skilled nursing setting.

The position requires ASHA credentialing or CFY eligibility, current state licensure, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP).
• ASHA certified (CCC) OR must be eligible for CFY to earn CCCs and/or meet credentialing criteria.
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State with active licensure.
• One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation and kept current.

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
• Liaisons with patients, families, support departments, etc., to plan for patient needs
• Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
• Possess the ability to make independent decisions when warranted
• Knowledgeable of practices, procedures, and governing laws in post-acute care facilities
• Follow department programs, goals, policies, and procedures
• Maintain patient rights, safety, and sanitation standards
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
• Comply with company policies including harassment and training

Education

MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology

ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility
