Job summary

Baker Distributing is seeking a Business Development Representative to promote sales through our website to our Customer/Dealer network. The role emphasizes self-driven growth, relationship building, and profitability by expanding accounts and regular customer contact.

You will drive sales by identifying opportunities, solving problems, and educating customers on our technologies and programs while using Salesforce for activity planning.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required.
• HVACR terminology knowledge is a plus.
• Proven sales performance and new market development.
• Strong MS Office and Salesforce skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service with incoming communication.
• Assist in resolving customer relations problems with dealers and end users.
• Seek out new business opportunities making outbound sales calls to new and existing customers.
• Identify trends, opportunities and threats to core business.
• Ensure customers understand and know how to utilize our technologies and grow adoption and usage rates.
• Use sales and account management processes to consult with customers to increase their knowledge of our products and programs.
• Communicate effectively both externally and internally.
• Utilize Salesforce to document and plan activities (Calendar, Tasks, Events).
• Assess clients' needs, recommend or assist in selection of goods or services, and negotiate prices/sales terms.
• Develop sales presentations, proposals, or materials to illustrate benefits from using goods or services.
• Attend training classes to meet customer needs and stay updated with product changes.
