Job summary

Nutrien is a leading crop inputs provider seeking a Field-based Agricultural Sales Representative in Texas to grow our grower network and drive sales of crop inputs. You will work with growers to meet goals, ensure timely delivery, and promote proprietary products across our trusted product line.

The role requires 2+ years in agriculture, a university degree preferred (or equivalent experience), strong Word/Excel skills, and a proven sales track record with regional travel and customer-focused

Qualifications

• University degree preferred; in lieu of degree, 5+ years agriculture experience and high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years’ experience using standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the agriculture industry, as well as the application of agricultural chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Develop new prospects and interact with existing growers to increase agricultural inputs sales to meet and exceed sales goals.
• Assure customer satisfaction of products including on-time and accurate delivery and quality of product.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase the sales of proprietary products.
• Consult with growers on agricultural issues and prescribe actions to resolve issues; resolve issues with adverse product results.
• Perform initial credit review of customers to understand credit risk and provide information to Credit Manager to set credit limits.
• Collect outstanding accounts receivables from customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
