Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions in Illinois is seeking a Crop Consultant to develop new prospects and expand sales of agricultural inputs to growers. You will manage sales to meet profit margins and ensure on-time delivery and product quality.

The role requires university degree preferred or 5+ years agriculture experience, 2+ years in the industry, and proficiency in MS Word/Excel. It may include participation in credit reviews and an annual incentive program.

Qualifications

• University degree preferred; in lieu of degree, 5+ years agriculture experience required.
• 2+ years’ experience using standard concepts in the agriculture industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related software.
• Sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new prospects and interact with growers to increase agricultural inputs sales.
• Assure customer satisfaction of products including on-time delivery and quality.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase the sales of proprietary products.
• Consult with growers on agricultural issues and prescribe appropriate actions to resolve issues.
• Perform initial credit review of customers to understand credit risk and support Credit Manager.
